Project Information
A couple of weeks back I made this candy dispenser out of red oak. This was such a fun project to make, and I made a YT video for those interested (see below) in how I made it.
I bought dimensional lumber from the home improvement store and just used the miter saw for cross cuts. Didn't have to do any rip cuts. Used my electric nail gun and wood glue to assemble. Finished with my homemade beeswax / mineral oil mix.
I've tried M&Ms and Jelly Beans in it. So far everything works well. Sometimes the candy will jamb up, but it jambs in the jar and not the slider. I think rounder and harder candy works best, but the jelly beans do pretty well too.
Here is the YT video Link. Enjoy!
