Project Information

I built this cart for a client who saved his sink cut-outs when he had granite countertops installed, ( thrifty like me).

The framework and top is 1" x 2" red oak with 1/2" mahogany laminated together. Joinery is Rocklers Beadlock. First time using them and I was Impressed with the $20.00 kit. Rock solid and aligned well. The top is Mitered and bisquited at corners. Shelves are 3/4" red oak plywood. The granite sits on this plywood which is joined to the outer top by pocket hole screws hidden after granite was installed. The drawer is poplar, dovetailed with a full extension soft close slide. Castors are clear with 2 fronts castors locking. The drawer pull is mahogany.

As you can see from most of my post I like taking photos outside. The outdoor light shows the woods beauty. Not this time, this babys way to heavy!

Any Questions or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for looking

A great combination! The granite is the perfect color to highlight the oak and mahogany. I would love to have a whole kitchen of this design. Your skills definately show in this build. And that drawer pull is pure class.
