Project Information

Having an ongoing supply of 1" oak flooring offcuts from a local business, I set about making something truly tactile and special.

There are over 16 different processes from start to finish with this project. There is careful selection of timber required to ensure there are no knots in the cross cuts. It was also important to ensure that any character was left showing on the edge faces.

I have now sold 5 of these at around £200 GBP each and continue to have relentless interest in them.

THAT, is a cutting board.

Give it a set of legs and you have your favorite section of counter top.
