Project Information

This little plant stand is 24 inches tall and 10 inches square it is made from recycled red oak pallets I found at work, I always keep my eyes open for these I don t get them often but I have been able to save up a couple and I decided to make this little stand. The black marks you see are where the nails were driven through ,gives it a little character. I hope everyone likes

Beautiful. And a good way to use pallet wood. The nail holes actually add character. I'm working on a pallet wood project now that I believe the nail holes detract from the character. Is not coming out as I'd hoped. It seems larger is better in that regard so the holes are a smaller part of the overall piece. My small lamp base accentuates the holes and make them look like defects instead of character builders.

very nice. I found a great local source of heavy duty pallets at the local brick&stone retailer. I wonder about the stability of the wood however because most of it is not kiln dried and every project I've made has had joint/warp issues. Any problems with this or any previous projects from pallets?
