Project Information

Completely reclaimed rough-cut barn wood, old trailer decking, and structural beams. The brick pattern top and the skirt are barn wood, the surface frame came from the trailer decking, and the legs are the beam. I quartered the beam and planed the legs to true 2"X2" and added a taper. The surface frame was cut to a 7.5 degree slope leaving only the brick pattern flat. No screws or nails were used structurally. The only screws are what I used to float the top onto the base. I used a vinegar/steel wool bath and coffee to darken the legs and the frame on the top. The rest is natural color.

The round holes in the lumber, as most will know, are from the carpenter bees that found their way into the shop last year and found their way to the wood pile.
