Some pix of my CDN workshops….

and there is so much more. Sometimes when I tidy up I relish the thought that I'm at a garage sale where I don't have to dicker.

And as a true CDN, I've got a collection of robertson screwdrivers such as the ones that appeared on the cover of the new LV catalogue, and a collection of Dryburgh moulding planes!.

Now all I gotta do is find the map of other CDN shops on this site….any pointers/links

Mark..I miss MB in some ways. Used to live in Portage. Used to shop at the old tool shop on ST.james before it closed up. That's where I bought my panther head saw , why, just because some saw painters came in and bought all their old handsaws, so they went into the storage and pulled out a half dozen old saws, one of which was a panther head!

And Vivian an "Junk for Joy" on #1 just east of portage sold me a brass malllet that is identical except for small handle detiails to the one in the Studley tool chest.

Good memories for me…good hunting for you. You never know when the opportunities will present themselves.

Thanks for the comment, but can you tell my wife?

I lost count…I think I got one or two ….

hundred.

That shop imaged has a drawer full of moderate quality Japanese saws, and the small specialty western saws, stuff that gets regular use.

The saw rack image is for the curiosities collected along the way. There's another for back saws. (not quite so long!)

And of course there's the power saws. They haven't lined up so neatly yet.

When I made that saw rack, I asked some of my oldtool buddies if they wanted one, and they unanoumously declined saying they didn't need one, but after seeing it on the wall, changed their mind!!!So much more fun than having a stack of saws in a pile.

There is another saw til where I keep the scarce/rare saws, and the amputation and bread saws are in another nearby location.

Saw's, ya I got saws. I think I added another 6 to the hoard in the last 3 weeks, They is so essential.

and hey there's so much other stiff stashed away that when I clean shop it's like going to my own garage sale…where I don't have to pay again. Swmbo give me sh*t from time to time, but since I used the metal detector to find her wedding ring, she's eased off on complaints about my eccentricities!

Hey you are quite observant!!!

Needless to say I love my tools,
