Project Information

Combining fused glass with my rafter tail theme.
The table itself if made from bubinga and ebony.

I had originally wanted to make the table in cocobolo - but couldn't locate any good stuff locally.
As it turned out - one of the students in my last class is a dealer in exotic hardwoods - specializing in cocobolo !
I now have cocobolo on the way - and will post that version here with this project.

update 6/13/11-I uploaded a couple of new shots of this piece - the overall image still does not do it justice but I will try to correct that with a better image soon.

update 1/21/14 I still have not had a chance the do a cocobolo version of this table but I had a commission for an African mahogany one - last two images.

That is a really nice piece.
I think it all comes together nicely.
The glass just makes a great piece even better.

That is gorgeous! Love the details, and the fused glass top looks like an ice flow from a glacier! What a beautiful blend of masterful technique and creativity!

Thanks everyone - I was not sure how this would be received - although it does have some elements of G&G - it, like my other rafter tail designs are a bit of a departure from most of my past stuff.
