Project Information

QT is the smallest soccer ball I have ever turned, 100 mm in diameter. It looks so cute that everyone loves it very much. The size, seemingly, is the reason for the people to fall in love with it, more than anything else. Same angles, same principle and same effort of building a soccer ball. All I did was reducing the size of the 32 pieces to % 50.

That is a beauty Sam, you sure create some great work. Can see why people love it. Do you want to share the angles, I would love to make one or try to. Thanks for showing mate.

Sure, Bob. Hexagon at 69.2 degrees and pentagon at 75.3 degrees. NOTE: It is not easy project. All angles must be exactly like they are mentioned above. the H and P must be correctly drawn and cut. Good luck.

Sam, that is a cutie (QT).. like 2 1/2"...........Nice work as usual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have fixtures made to hold the wood at these precise angles and then just flip the parts to 5 or 6 positions on the saw?

Every time I look at one of these it starts a challenge in my head just to accomplish this.

Cheers, Jim

Great work, Sam… as usual!

How do you turn a Ball like that?
... I'm assuming it is 'turned' knowing you.

Want to share your secret?

Super COOL! I like the black & white one… with the rounded seams… COOL!

Thank you.
