Nice job, I looked at your other ones also. I've made a few puukko knives also. It is very addicting. If you check out the vise advise thread I started in hand tools you can see the vise I use to hold the blade while shaping the handle. Thanks also for the link for supplies. The blades I used were hand forged and have gotten real expensive.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the compliments. Dubsaloon, it does hold an edge well, but the fact that its a scandi blade makes it super easy to sharpen. One of my favorite things about this style in fact.

Boatman53, thanks and I do love making these. They are so simple but beautiful and hard working. Ill check out that thread topic. Holding these things in place while you shape is always a fun time. haha. Yeah the blade on this one was only like 13 bucks but its still good. I have a Puronvarsi and those are hand forged I THINK and are a bit more expensive so I feel your pain. haha
