Project Information

When I carved this piece, my 'studio' was a kitchen table situated not more than 10 feet from a large pool table, around which sat three young men (two of them my sons) who were starting up their software company. They had the pool table covered with computers and printers and cables and they talked all day and night about software - and nearly drove me crazy. I think this carving is just me - praying for some peace and quiet and my own space.

The carving is white pine, app 17" tall, finished with oil and wax.

Thanks for looking.

Nice carving. How are you photographing it? The lighting is so nice it looks like a 3D render.

Cool as usual. Gonna have to put you down as a buddy to see all the carvings you come up with. Nice work and detail.

Smells like softbox light :)

Your design is wonderful, I love it. It's almost exactly what I'm thinking of for a nice but waaay smaller piece of spalted wood that I want to turn into a feminine statue. May I borrow a few ideas from this design of yours? :)
