Sorry to hear of your condition, but what an amazing device you have made. I work in the assistive technology arena and this is really neat! I would love to see a video of it in motion if you ever have the chance. Keep fighting and keep building!

Does anyone know how to post a video? I don't know how long my H-P camera will film animated; I'll look and see. The absurd rate at which it consumes batteries for stills, the video won't be very long.
It turns out, that I really didn't need the gear motor and in fact with the output RPM around 60 at 9 volts, it's far slower than need be. I tried to locate a power seat set up but apparently the places we used to call junk yards just toss them out and the ford dealer would only sell me the entire base he said, for $1200.00! Can you believe this?
O'Reily's auto parts couldn't even give me a quote on the motor/gear box without a part number? I told them I'd take the least expensive one they could get. A 12 volt auto accessory would have easily have made that puppy turn.

Metrotek great built, your one smart man ,hang in there i,ll keep you in my prayers. looking at your set up you know that might work also as a tv lift i priced those and they were to proud of them for my pocket book maybe with some different set ups may work .car power seat motors just very cleaver.
