Project Information
Well I went by a new lumber place and they had a beautiful chunk of east indian rosewood. I couldn't help myself. So I snagged it up and took it to the shop. Since lately I've been addicted to hand planes what better way to use such a nice chunk of wood. So here it is. It's about 8" long, the bed is set at 45 degrees, and the pin is made from birdseye maple. Unfortunately I couldn't afford a really nice iron but this one seems to do the trick pretty well. It's a buck brothers 1 5/8" iron it's about an 1/8" thick. Maybe I can splurge next time and get a nice iron but for now this one will do.
