Project Information

I have 3 grown children, so made 3 pizza peels/paddles for them. The first one is Walnut, ambrosia Maple, and a couple strips of Jatoba. The other two are Ambrosia Maple, Padauk, and Jatoba. Each is about 33" in length by 15 to 16" in width. The walnut one was sanded down to 5/8" on the drum sander then shaped with a grinder with a 40 grit sanding disk. The other two are a little thicker and shapped the same. All are finished with mineral oil. My best friend and wife put together the baskets with pizza crust, pizza sauce, pepperoni stick, olive oil, pepper flakes, biscotti lady fingers, paremesean romano cheese, a cheese shaker, and a loaf of Italian bread. She sure know how to put it all together. Hope you get inspired.

Very nicely made, I like your choice of wood. The Ambrosia Maple with the worm holes really give it a nice rustic look.
