My workshop is a one car garage about 10' X 20'. My wonderful wife has allowed me to have this space dedicated totally to my hobby. I only have to share my space with the dog. I insulated the walls and covered one with peg board then covered the ceiling and two walls with 4" beadboard siding. I decided to tile the floors, then covered them with three coats of epoxy floor coating. This makes it very easy to keep clean. The cabinets are oak face frames and plywood. The tops are two layers of 3/4" plywood with a masonite top. The masonite can be replaced easily for less than $20 so I dont have to be careful when working. I tend to get in a hurry sometimes. The center cabinet is built low enough so that all of my bench tools can be shimmed to use the cabinets as an in-feed and out-feed table. It has taken me a year to get this far but has been a lot of fun.

Nicely organized and with lots of storage for tools. I like the idea of being able to open up the garage door for more light and fresh air. Nice shop. Sure wish mine was that clean…

Great space. Did you build the router table and cabinets, too? I like your recharger station and that fancy floor. Is that a sky light I see?

I like your router table cabinet - seems like a good use of space…bit storage on the sides, routers in the big drawer?

Hi Piper,

My wife would love your shop space. She is always yelling at me because I get sawdust on the floor of mine. Your is too well organized and neat to be a real shop. :) Unless of course you have a crew like Norm does on the NYW to set it up and sweep it out after filming.

Seriously I would love to work in a shop this neat and organized. But thanks for the last photo. You can put some dust on the floor so your shop does look used.

Thanks for the post. I have enjoyed visiting your shop.
