Project Information

I had 4 old pine boards that where in with another deal. I hung onto them until just the right project for them came along. One board was worked over pretty bad by bugs but I had to use it to keep from running out of material. Plan was in a old Popular WW book. I wiped on 1 coat amber shellac, then 2 coats oil/poly mix. I tried to embrace the character.

Fantastic build. I really like this, great looking piece of early American furniture. I've got a dry sink on my bucket list, this looks like a great design to attempt when I get around to it. Great use of the knots & figure of the pine.

You did a Very Nice Job of "Embracing The Character"! I love Knotty pine, old looking Pine Furniture.

I also like the Tapered/Chamfered Upper Drawers.

Going into Favorites for sure! Thanks for Posting.

Love it. Pine can take on some nice looks when done properly and that you did.

Great drawer fronts! What a fine looking piece. Re: bug board- Its funny with woodworking, if you try to hide imperfections they show up as flaws, but if you put them front and center, they become Features and add character and uniqueness to each piece. I love it!
