Project Information

My Mother in law found a print that she loved. Of course I had to make a custom
size frame to fit it. Also this was an excuse to make a 45 degree cutting sled for
my table saw.

Wood was Cherry. with biscuit's in the courner to help alignment, and give a little strength.
After I glued it up, I noticed that I forgot to router the inside…... So I did that routering
after the glue up,,, and did not have chissels to fix the courners…. Lesson Learned.

I will post my 45Deg. Sled when I get a picuture.

Yes! As I said, a project is a great reason to get a new tool!

Some times those things that seem so obvious to the builder are not really noticed by others.

Nice job overall!

And this pix is exactly what my Mom loves to paint. Boy would she be envious if she saw this.

Great miters on the frame and Cherry wood makes it even better.

Like Don always says, the sign of a good carpenter is if you can make a good picture frame. He says one of the hardest things to do is to get four mitered corners to align. I know I believe him. mike
