Project Information

sliding lid pencil boxes made as Christmas gifts for some of the grandchildren. the 2 in the back are made from mahogony and cedar, the middle one is purple heart with an ash lid, the small one in the front is made from some kind of reclaimed wood that I can't identify (wish I knew what it is so I could find more).

How neat to see some wonderfully built pencil boxes this morning. I was out in the shop gluing up a plainer cabinet, and was thinking heavily about what I wanted to do next. Pencil box kept coming to mind…. Could this be a sign?...lol

Well done and I'm sure your Grandchildren will love these. Thanks for sharing….

Great job, they all look great! I just purchased the "Box Joint Jig kit" and need to put it together and build one or many of these.
