Project Information

I built this router plane because I wanted a second router. I already have an old Stanley 71. Sometimes it's very handy to have routers with different settings during a project.

It is made from a single piece of walnut that is a reject gunstock blank.

I followed Paul Sellers videos and purchased his hardware kit.

Thanks for checking it out.

Nice work. Any feedback on how this Seller's stacks up against the Stanley 71 in use?

Any variation in the method used?

It only has one width of blade, 3/8" so there is a limitation. On EBay the Stanley's are going for around $ 150. I have not been able to get a veritas or Lie-Nielson. Walke Moore is over$ 300. The kit form Paul Sellers is $30 and some time. I just put finish on it yesterday so as soon as I do some work with it I'll have a better idea, but it's kind of the only game I town.
