A turning in honor of Saint Patrick's Day. This hollow form vase is turned from end grain oak. It measures 3.5 inches by 5.5 inches. It is finished with aniline dyes, spray lacquer, and green tinted wax. All comments welcome.
Martin, this was dyed red, blue, yellow, red again, and black. It is difficult to see in the photographs, but in the sunlight there is tremendous color depth.
Hi Mike, I have two pieces currently on display at the McLean County Art Center's gallery. They will be on display through the end of April. I will be doing the Spring Bloom juried art festival this Saturday.
Nice, I love to go to your projects and see a whole page at once. Kind of like it would be if they were on a shelf together. Great consistency, another great addition.
