My lovely wife asked for a replacement front patio table. (See last photo) we have used that ugly thing for 18 years, still hold a scotch or old fashioned pretty darn well.

I had an idea in my head for a unique table big enough for some snacks and a place for a few drinks while enjoying some patio time with the neighbors. Need to be light enough to tuck into the corner when not in use, and look unique as well. The plan was to prototype it in pine, work the bugs out, and create one in white oak.

That’s when my wife saw it and corrected my plan, sand and stain the prototype and build another one the way I want……

I will post images once it’s sanded and stained, I appreciate the feedback from my fellow lumberjocks.

Looks like a great table. Is that a tile for the top?

Nicely done, I have one of those old ugly things made of deck boards. Hope the wife does not see yours. Nicely done, attractive.

Yes, a local tile shop had them as sample give away, so I made a patio table.
