Project Information

Painting easel for my wife. Had some fun with this one. I'll eventually get some more pics up - not all the detail is visible in these. The rear leg is attached with brass chain and a hinge, At the bottom is an adjustable "A" to allow for tilting of the easel to full vertical or back about 10 deg. It's also on t-track.

Stock - frame: Cherry with Walnut inlay.
Stock - brush shelf: Lacewood
Stock - shamrock hold down: Cherry
Finish - Boiled Linseed Oil

The shamrock at the top is dyed using Transtint. Mixed up some custom green in alcohol - put it in a ziplock - extracted the air and let it sit for a day. Flipped it every few hours. Looks like Lignum viate with a VERY loose grain. LOL.
