Project Information

This is an End of Deployment gift built by Gabriel Vasquez of Austin, TX while on Navy Base Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa. Made from primarily of Purple Heart, the paddle is a common gift given for remembering achievements and milestones. The handle was wrapped with parachute cord, and the top cut into the shape of the Continent with a Challenge coin inset into the paddle.

I posted this for my grandson and his friend.

Thanks for the comments.

When I saw what they did, it absolutely knocked my socks off! ;-)) The pictures don't do it justice.

It is for sure. I just posted it as a favor for my grandson's friend to give him a little exposure online. He did not want to join LJ. Young guy with too many irons in the fire ;-))
