Project Information

One of my first projects ever. Approximately 30" long, 12" wide, 1" thick. Made from alder, walnut, thin slice of ash, and cherry. Used alder because that was the largest piece of wood available at the time. It has an interesting color and pattern to it. Added a heavy duty clamp to the handle. Treated with mineral oil. Gift for father in law so he has something to fillet large northern pike. His previous fillet board was about half this size.

Get post. I will have to make one of these for my dad.

How well has it held up to use?
