Project Information

Started these as a Father's Day present, finally finished them about a month ago. First time I've ever made chairs, and probably the last time too. Just about had my fill of mortise and tenon joints, and the Shopsmith mortiser is a bit of a bear to use in anything harder than poplar. All made out of unfinished jatoba, apart from the table base which came from Amazon.

Nice job. Tackling a chair makes me nervous. Yours came out looking great.

Yeah, they didn't turn out too bad. There are things I'd change, but they pretty much look how I drew them up in CAD. Finally got a bandsaw the week after I finished them. Having that while I made them would have made things much easier. Nothing quite so harrowing as resawing stock to make slats with a Shopsmith.

Very nice table and chairs, they look great. Chairs are something I am in no hurry to try and build. You did a great job on them…well done.

Awesome looking table and chairs. You really done a good job.Outdoor tables and chairs will give the finishing touch to any patio. When purchasing outdoor furniture consider adding cushions, which will not only add the comfort but can bring a touch of color as well.
