Project Information

My smallest ring to date. Cut from the same block as the previous OO ring. Approx 16 mm inside diameter, 17 mm outside. - that's barely 3/4 of an inch across, and 1/4" wide. I can barely get this one halfway down my pinky finger.

I only managed to partially finish this one, as I was remounting this on the lathe to sand it, I heard it crack. I was able to see the crack at the time, and was debating submerging the whole thing in superglue. I rubbed a little bit of Howards orange oil and beeswax on it (just to get a picture of it). and now - even with a little pulling and squeezing - I can't even find the hairline crack.

Despite the fact I haven't fully sanded this one super smooth, and it needs to be repaired (or tossed), my wife claimed it as hers, and I'm happy to report it's survived a weeks worth of on/off wearing with no problems at all. I'm really curious to see how well this one will hold up to the trials and tests of normal use… and if this one is doing just fine, the other ones will be all but bulletproof.

Great looking ring. Good luck on it lasting. That crack will probably re-apear at the worst time.( like when she is showing it off) That is when I found the flakeing in my first walnut ring. haha

Looks great. Keep it up.

I think that if I made rings I'd have to make myself some additional fingers so I could wear them all. How could you NOT put something like this on your finger!

That is a gorgeous ring.

These rings intrigue me, I will have to try making them sometime. I bet my wife would love it.

I don't know how your wife would let any of these be sold.
