Project Information

This is another quilt stand of my own design. I made it from leftover pieces from different projects. I can't seem to throw anything away, so in order to make room on my scrap pile I make something.

When I was making it, & it was time to make the cross pieces. I found this round cylinder that I had made when I was just messing around on my lathe once. So hating to waste anything, I just worked it into the project. Thats why I called it one of its kind.

The base, & top end pieces were designed on paper. All the round spindle pieces were designed during the turning process.

Dick: this is very elegant. The cross brace on the bottom is really cool. Where did you get that idea?

Thanks Mark,
I didn't use any plan for it, but it just happened that way. When I was making it, & it was time to make the cross pieces. I found this round cylinder that I had made when I was just messing around on my lathe once. So hating to waste anything, I just worked it into the project. Thats why I called it one of a kind.

Great project Dick. You sure can't call it scrap when it becomes something that elegant.
