Here is a Lazy Larry I have not posted before… it has been in a few pics in the background and part of the dress rehearsal display for next Sunday…
The outer part is New Guinea Rosewood and the circular inlay is 10 mm thick Huon Pine… I picked this up in Tasmania when I attended the wood show there last year…I used the TWC to route out the section for the inlay…
The LL is sprayed with Marine Varnish and has a cast aluminium [aluminum] bearing..these bearings are currently not available in Australia and the only retailer I can find is LeeValley in Cananda…
Due to the cost of shipping I am looking at importing these bearings direct from the Manufacturer in Taiwan…Anyone here in Australia interested in buying some… I will be placing a large order with the intention of saving everyone money…I can guarantee they will be cheaper than buying a pressed metal bearing from the large box store…
