Project Information
I recently built these three items- all of which were turned on my lathe. The first, an Olivewood French rolling pin, measures around 14 inches overall. I had an interesting time making it, as it destroyed 2 cheapo grizzly live centers in the process. The second item, is a little candy dish- I started out by turning the Olivewood main body from a scrap board I had; I then added the black walnut sides and finial and finished shaping it with my belt sander. The third project is a small "coffee style" nut dish. It was an interesting project being that, when I started turning it, there was a major crack in the side- this is where I placed the handle. In another one of the minor cracks I placed a bowtie; overall it was a fun project that turned out okay. Sorry that some of the pictures are inverted; thanks for looking! DMiller
