Project Information

This is my first project posting, so I apologize in advance if I've done something wrong.

This is a 10" bowl made from what professional turner Jimmy Clewes called Olive Ash. The design was also copied from one of Jimmy's demonstations in 2013. The upper rim was sprayed with black lacquer and then gold Rub-N-Buff was applied. The image of the Texas Lone Star on the bottom was found on the Internet, reduced to fit, traced onto the wood and then woodburned.

Great job! The gold and black really makes a nice accent. Welcome to Lumberjocks, I look forward to seeing more.

Love the color contrast and how the grain shows through the lac. Very nice!
