Project Information

These are pictures of a job I just completed. The customer had moved their office into a strip mall. The room was a huge empty rectangular space with no clearly defined spaces. So I was tasked with creating an expensive way to divide the space. So I came up with Asian shoji screen inspired dividers. The dividers are constructed with construction grade 2×4s and 1×4s and the panels are actually what you would find covering lights in a drop ceiling. All of the grid work is all half lapped together. The unit in the back has plywood inserts, this area is the break room.

Wow, I love them they look so elegant and artistic. I can not believe you made it with the material you said you made it with. They are awsome. Thanks

Very sharp design and execution - using the light diffusers (IIRC that's the correct name) was a neat trick.

Very Asian looking and they would give some nice privacy. Cool.

Great idea. Looks a lot better than cubicles.
