Oconee Dining Table ( 84" round table top)

This is one of my favorite tables I build. The top is 84" x 1.5" thick. The base has 5" x 5" x 27" legs with a 2" x 6" skids ( ? ) The out reach or supports are 2" x 4" and the center X uses the same measurements. I notched the intersection in order to use only 2 boards and not to take away the strength and stability of the base. The base sits far enough in so 19.5" chairs can be pushed up to the top when positioned at the legs. This table was sent to Augusta, GA. for the PGA Masters Tournament this past April. The top was finished with a 1.5" metal band on the outside, sorry for the table shot being to dark to see. Finished with dark tone stain and 3 coats lacquer on base and 5 coats lacquer for the top. Was hoping to get a few autographs for this one, but only got 1 and that was only on the check for the purchase. I suppose that is the most important one of all. We did receive a few orders from a few people who saw it. All in all a good day and satisfied with the results.
