Project Information

This is an oak toy box I made for my nephew. The face frame front back and sides are made from an oak pallet that I found floating down the Savannah river while fishing, and being a packet true to form I had to snatch it up and I'm glad I did. The radius lid I'd made from oak flooring scraps from a job site. The inlay and little trim pieces around the raised panels are Brazilian cherry decking scrap also from the same job site. It is defiantly a pleasure to take that which has been rejected as rubbish and help shape it into something beautiful with purpose. My projects don't always turn out exactly as I planed then but the real pleasure for me is in the process of getting there more than the end result.
