Project Information

Hi LJ's,

I posted some days before a ring project that involves wood shavings and stone inlay (you can check it here: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/107938).

Well, I bring you here an older and simpler ring project I've made 3 months ago. It's made with european oak which is fairly dificult to work due the size of the grain size that make it so fragile. Compared to the previous project, you will find some different ways to achieve the same result. It's all about finding our own way, in relation to the tools we have available.

Again, if you want to see the whole proces you can watch the following video:

I hope my videos encourage many of you to make some of my projects. If you've any questions I'll try to solve them.

Thanks for watching. I hope you like it.

Regards.

Thanks hoss12992! On the other hand I believe there are ways to make it easier. Materials and tools are limited to: strip of oak, CA glue, masking tape, hand plane, sandpaper (150-240-500 grit) and strip of leather for the polishing. The drill and coping saw are what I need if the CA glue don't let pull out the ring from the template.o is more instructive because it has explanations.
