Project Information

I had a few slabs of oak that were about 30-35 inches wide and had to do something to show it off. The drawer is grain matched perfectly to the case. The legs are walnut and tapered. This was my own design and love it or hate it, it is exactly as I drew it up and pictured it in my head. Let me know what you think, even if you hate it.

Love everything about it! I do have some concern about the bark staying intact though.

I love it too! Thanks for sharing.
The cherry dining table I am working on is quite similar. And you have just made me uncertain about breadboards…

I was admiring the end detail too. The curved end without breadboard should stand up over time - disguises small warpage - and keeps the look natural.

Very nice work chris.Oak coffee table is a good addition to your living room furniture with its simple and refined yet very sophisticated beauty. It can blend with other furniture and it can make its own noticeable identity as well.
