Neat! The ribbons made me take a look. It reminds me a an old steam trunk.

I like the 1/4 sawn oak with kerfed edges, giving it a more rustic, almost medieval treasure chest look to it.

Nice box, love the walnut trim. I love those hinges too, I just wish you could buy shorter screws for them to use with thinner wood.
