Project Information

I think I got some hints on this project from someone in here. Thanks if that be the case.

Using pocket hole joinery I built these sofa tables out of some Poplar with gel stain after using Charles Neil's Blotch Control and finished with three coats of General Finishes' Armor Seal. Like I said, nothing spectacular compared to what some of you true woodworkers produce, but they are really handy around the couch and can be moved around very easily.

That is a great looking project! I made one of those for my wife here a couple months ago and she just loves it!

The finish looks great!

Thanks for sharing!

I like it Andy. It would be handy/dandy when you need a quick table

Nah, nobody here will ever make one now!

GREAT IDEA and project!

I will have to make a few smaller ones up.

How tall works best? Approximate sizes of pieces will be appreciated also. Thanks.

I made mine about 25 inches tall. the table part is 19×12. We really use them a lot. I was actually surprised. They are big enough to do the job and small enough to move around quickly.
