Project Information

Norm Marshall Style Truck with a Crowie Difference..
I saw a photo of a Norm Marshall Truck that was very unique so I thought I'd have a go to do similar in my own style.
More like a Aussie 12ton TableTop with gates.
I've used the basics of the Norm Marshall Tractor Truck pattern.
I laminated some offcuts of Cypress Pine flooring for the cabin.
The engine block is laminated Merbau.
The tray is Tassie Oak.
The mudguards & tray sideboard are Australia Cedar.
I had to add the "BullBar" or "RooBar" after a comment I read recently on a forum.
I've basically used the half size the pattern which my friend Bret added on his Scania build [thanks Bret].

I've using store bought wheels, headlights, taillights & steering wheel.
The whole project is a bit of "MAKE IT UP AS I GO".....Quite an enjoyable project.
The truck is 21.5" long x 5.5" wide x 6.25" high…...
Anyways, here's what I built.
[It had a few repairs since its completion as the grandson love playing with it]
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie

Wow that is a very nice truck and I think it is ready for some "real logging" work. I am sure your grandson has that in mind.

Great truck Peter. At least it is well played with and to see the pleasure they get from it makes it all worth while. Will have to look at that book
