After spending 37 years in my 12x22 basement shop of the two story house I built it was time for the old folks to find a ranch house. After looking for over a year for the perfect house we decide we were not going to find one with everything, and the shop was going to be in the basement again. The new house had a 2400 sq ft unfinished basement, almost 900 sq ft going to the shop. After arranging the equipment in the empty space many times a layout was chosen. First item to decide on was the dust collector size and location, after a lot of thought Oneida 5hp was chosen (should have gone with 3hp). The work began, new sub panel installed in the furnace/sharpening room and layout complete the work began.
