Kevin, I like your combination of straight and curved lines in the first box. I wonder if it would balance better with a larger curved element or a smaller striped element? Nice looks on your other projects too. Thanks for sharing.

Al, that was a custom job and the client was very specific about that arrangement. It was for a young graphic design student and she was housing her senior project in it and it had design elements that this box was to echo. Thanks for the feedback though!

Very nice. I love doing inlays. How did you do the curve?

Hi Duckster,

Technically it isn't an inlay as I sawed the curve clear through the board and then glued the strip back together with it. The trick of that is getting the strip to be really close to the amount of wood the blade removes so it still fits well. A similar trick with wider curves is to tack glue two contrasting woods together and saw out curves and then mix and match and reglue the pieces.
