Project Information

I have not shown wooden collectible knives for a while now. These are the first four for the 2015 season. For the new folks here this is my most favorite item to make. The first is a doctor knife which I gave one like to my favorite doctor. The next is for our hair dresser. The third is for John Deere and all the farmers in this area (have sold several of these). The last has no emblem and this one I gave to a guy who helped me remove some of the 20" of snow from my driveway Friday afternoon. The display is the one that goes with me to the local craft shows. The last shows the 12 to 15 parts used to make these knives. If interested there are others to view in my projects.Have now made well over 800 of them since retiring. Thanks to the folks who have seen these before and to the new lookers. As always love your comments and questions.

These are just awesome. After looking at these and your previous ones I am putting this on my list ahead of other things to do. Hope they turn out half as cool as yours. Thanks Vernon.

Vernon, you have to know you have one of the most delicate and intricate wood crafts out there in the craft world. You failed to mention that the knives when opened have the same locking snap as a real knife. I could only dream of replicating this fine piece of art.
Did I say there were nice ?

You have been a busy knife builder over the winter. I keep mine within arms reach at all times. You've received many good comments on it.

Your knife projects are amazing, I like the idea, would love to try some, do you have a blog or have more information. I like the idea for gifts. People would treasure them. Well done..
