I haven't posted in a while and this may very well be "overkill" but I wanted a semi-permanent spot for my Kreg Foreman pocket hole machine. There are also times when I wanted more bench surface. This seemed to fit both purposes.
The center of the bench will accommodate the Foreman and it can be removed and stored directly beneath and replaced with a cut-out sized to fit the same space. The surface of the Foreman is co-planer with the adjacent bench tops.
The drawers are flush mount and trimmed with Walnut to match my "Drawers Under The Table Saw" earlier project.
The cabinet is constructed with birch ply and, of course, put together with pocket hole screws. All exposed edges are edge banded with iron on birch banding. The cabinet is finished with 2 coats of wipe on poly and the top has 2 coats of amber shellac and Arm-R-Seal. The entire cabinet rides on casters for mobility.
I will eventually add additional drawers, shelves or slide-outs as the contents evolve.
