Very nice job Bernie. Love the elk and Buff. I've actually butchered a Buffalo, or at least helped. Pretty heavy job. Especially the hump. Beautiful work. mike

These are nice. I see you've taken up painting. That's something I've been reluctant to try, but some things could use a little paint, especially holiday carvings. I will try it eventually, as well as gold leaf, but it may be awhile.

Great job….Ive been playing with relief carvings (so far I haven't finished one)....they are hard work…especially the detail work….the elk and buffalo are fantastic…You did a great job on the coloring for the carvewrite….....How do you like that carvewrite? I've heard good and bad on them…..

Nicely done. Loved the painting too. Is it my imagination, or are these carvings getting better? It looks to me that the carvings are crisper and more detailed.

Nice work oldcop.

Stefang: Not sure if oldcop is using one but a fellow carvewright customer designed a new chuck for the bit. Its called the RockChuck. I live by it now. It has reduced the sound of the machine I would say by at least 40% along with a huge reduction on the vibration to almost nil. I beleive it produces a more crisp carving with less cleanup and helps the machine from vibrating lose other parts. Its the best thing for the machine in my opinion.
