Project Information

My wife asked me to make her a Necklace Tree. Once I figured out what the heck a Necklace Tree is I had to come up with a design. I looked at many, most of which were about as imaginative as a towel rack. I finally decided that they call it a necklace TREE so I'm going to make it look like one and decided on this design. The tree is made from pine and stands 12" tall at the centre. There are shaker hooks on the front and back to support a number of necklaces. It was a fun and easy project to build. I used my new oscillating spindle sander for the first time on this project and it really made it a lot easier to shape the wood.

Very well designed. I really like the curves, it looks "jazzy." Thank you for sharing.

Hi Seaquest.

I hope you convinced the missus to buy the sander for this LARGE project. I suppose you considered that it will be you filling it up with new necklaces!

You be some more new tools in there for you!

Nice graceful project.
