Project Information

Made this from a 4” x 16’ Douglas fir beam I had laying around for years. I almost left it in the natural wood, but this wood isn’t the best to machine, it came out a little rougher than I wanted, so I decided to coat it with the Antique Metal Bronze Powder I’ve done on other projects. Size is 12”L x 12”T x 6”W.
I’m considering doing another one out of maple or some other wood with a little tighter grain.

I agree carves are usually true artists. My hands never produce what my mind is thinking.... I love this carving... Well done.

nice carving, I'm undecided about which I prefer - raw or coated
