This is a beautiful piece. I took the time to view more of your projects. You are highly talented, not only as a woodworker, but in design as well. Some really great work.

the top was 50percent sap monte so I decided to go with an all walnut base and use the top (with its sapwood) as the contrast. I like this one a lot and if I had a place for it I might actually keep it, but the all mighty dollar wins out and it will be getting out for all to see this weekend in Reston, VA.

but john, i live in alabama, nowhere near VA…and i would think that since i inspired you to change the shop to be a bit more representable, is there no allegiance..lol…well now your going to make me wait until i can get into the walnut cavern…its not do big deal. about 400 board feet

Great proportions, it's easy to make this style look bottom heavy, but you found a nice balance.

Great table and I agree with above the sap wood adds character to the wood. I did this on a outdoor walut table as well. Very ncie.

Great looking hall table! I love how the top seems to be hovering above the base.
