Project Information

Handcrafted from Red Oak and Ebony with a Birch liner this treasure is one that you will probably never see elsewhere. The box is finished with Tung-Oil and two coats of Johnson's paste furniture wax buffed to a high gloss. The legs elevating the dragon's platform, the corner embelishments, and the dragon itself are all crafted from Ebony for its natural black coloration. The scrollwork covers the entire circumference of the box as well as the top, legs, and dragon.

This piece of art is unique in every way. It will be the center of attraction where ever you might display it. Due to its intricacy and the enormous time it took to craft this piece I will likely not make another thus making it a "One-of-A-Kind."
Dimensions: 11 3/8"L x 8 3/4"H x 8 3/4"W.

That really is a unique box - must have taken a lot of very intricate and careful work to complete it.

Jim,

This is a unique and very interesting box. I would love to have seen a picture of the inside as well.

Very nice post. The details and intricacy of design make this an outstanding box.

I don't think I've ever seen a box that intricate. That must have been a ton of work. Great job.
