Project Information
I made these wood mallets from walnut ,maple , makorie ,and an solid oak Handel From scrap wood in the shop
I drilled 1 1/2 inch holes in the makorie center pieces and glued one side on and after the glue dried I filled the two holes with bb's and glued the other side on. Then I shaped the Handel on the belt sander to fit my hand ,and I made two walnut wedges to secure the mallets to the Handel. I glued the wedges and installed them into the mallet. I finished them with 2 coats of polyurethane sanding between coats. Thanks for looking at my mallets.
