This windmill I made is made from exterior grade plywood and has a redwood body for it will last outdoors for many years. It took me a few days to make ,and it is finished with marine spar varnish. I painted the tips red and white.
I put roller skate bearings in the hub so is rotates freely in even in a light wind . It can Handel any wind Mother Nature can deliver even the Santa Anna winds . This was a fun build
