Project Information

Well I got this completed today. I am going to build an additional fence for it (Norms) too. It uses a Hitachi M12V mounted onto Jess'Em RouteR Plate, the M12V has a Router Razier installed and has a Xtreme Xtension in the collet. The fence is an Original Incra Jig. I am very, very happy with the rig. Additionally, I am so glad to have a central place to keep all of my router stuff.

Since the table is not permanently attached to the cabinet, I am thinking about making a down draft table to go on top of this cabinet. All I would have to do is run a outlet on the RH side of the cabinet and build the table to fit the cabinet.

The top is made of Phenolic Plywood, it works well and is slick, but the phenolic layer is very prone to chipping and flaking.

Very nice Router Table with handy bits organiser. I like the large switch attached to the cabinet and easily accessible.
I bought a NVR magnetic switch long ago, but do not know to do the wiring. I would be very gratefull if you could give me the diagram of the wiring connection.
Thanks for sharing.

Gary,

I am planning to put in a Miter track in like you did, mater of fact I have purchased one, but since decided that I wanted to go with a combination track from either Bench Dog or Wood-Peckers. Thats a future purchase and upgrade.

Woodworm,

I blogged the construction, the electrical work can be seen here.

It is pretty standard, a junction box in the back, out to to the switch (which is mounted in a remodel box), from the switch to the outlet box.

Sike,
Thanks for the pointer to the electrical work.

I find combo T-track (Miter T-track and T-track) is cheaper at MLCS woodworking : http://www.mlcswoodworking.com

Take care.

Woodworm,

Thanks for pointer, unfortunately the that track is only 32" long and I need it to be 36" long. I am thinking that this is what I am looking for from Bench Dog.

This is a nice router table and it will add a lot of versatility to your shop. I can well understand why you want to organize your router stuff. Mine is currently just tossed in a drawer and I have to rummage around in it to find anything. This organizes everything. Great job and it is an inspiration to me to get started on my version.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I do have the typical "creators" issue, I look at it and see all of the flaws. With that said my case work and accuracy are improving which is making me happy.

That's a fine looking table router. It must be great to have all of your router bits and accessories in one place. A nice looking place at that. Nice work!

Hey, that's a great router table that you have made there. It's one of the nicest ones that I have seen and I'm glad that you posted this because I was not familiar with bench dog. I just looked at their catalog and they have a lot of great stuff. Thanks.
