Staining wasn't too bad. Lots of nooks and crannies, but foam brush, rag, and lots of rotating/tipping the piece got it done. Clear coat I decided to spray and that went really easy. The hard part was assembly / glue-up of the sides and shelves.

Attacking it with the angle grinder after it was assembled, to enhance the "rustic" was a bit traumatic. ;-)
